What is Hytale?

Hytale is an upcoming sandbox RPG adventure game combining block-building, exploration, combat, and creative tools. The game features procedurally generated worlds, dungeons, bosses, biomes, and a powerful creator toolkit suitable for modders and server owners.

When is the Hytale release date?

Early Access begins on January 13, 2026 with pre-orders available starting December 13, 2025. Multiplayer and server hosting support will be available from day one.

Was Hytale canceled and revived?

Yes. Hytale was canceled by Riot Games on June 23, 2025. The project was revived on November 17, 2025 after Simon Collins-Laflamme repurchased the IP and reassembled many of the original developers.

Who is developing Hytale now?

Hytale is now developed independently by Hypixel founders Simon Collins-Laflamme and Philippe Touchette, supported by a team of 30+ returning developers including original technical leads.

What platforms will Hytale support?

Hytale Early Access will launch for Windows, with planned support for Mac and Linux shortly after. Console versions may arrive later depending on performance and technical considerations.

Will Hytale support servers and multiplayer?

Absolutely. Multiplayer is a core feature of Hytale. Players will be able to host:
